About us

Susanne’s Story

I am passionate that you and your animal should be able to enjoy life together to the full and will work with you both to create a targeted rehabilitation programme that meets your dog or cats individual needs.

I am an advanced small animal practitioner and a chartered physiotherapist, with specialist clinical skills in movement analysis and therapeutic handling. This enables me to recognise dysfunctional movement patterns and use multi modal approaches to regain lost function and prevent dysfunction from occurring.

I have advanced hydrotherapy skills and work part time at K9 Hydro Services, a leading rehabilitation and training centre for small animals, where I am also an assistant lecturer for CPD events and teach on the Level 5 diploma in hydrotherapy.

How we help

Does your dog or cat seem to be struggling with it’s movement? For example; Are they limping? Can they get up and down stairs? In/out of the car? Or are they stiff or uncomfortable? We can help with any movement challenges or movement dysfunctions they may experience including the following:

  • Elderly animals with reduced function from altered movement patterns, stiff joints and weak musculature
  • Neurological conditions, eg, degenerative myopathies, spinal cord compression, lumbro-sacral disease, fibrocartilaginous embolism, vestibular disease
  • Musculoskeletal injuries, eg, trauma to soft tissues, cranial cruciate ligament disease
  • Pre and post operative rehabilitation
  • Orthopaedic conditions eg, hip and elbow dysplasia, joint replacement, osteotomies
  • Weight management issues
